COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Pointis Program: Linked to Calder Library at the University of Miami, this program provides easy access to education regarding brain and spinal cord injuries.

Staff Referral: Staff may refer patients to the Education Department for assistance in obtaining information to help increase knowledge/understanding of various diagnoses and prognoses.

Speakers Bureau:  Staff development educators are part of the Delray Medical Center Speakers Bureau and available for community presentations. The Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital staff provides lectures for community events upon request.

Student Rotation:  Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital sponsors active student rotation programs with local colleges/universities for all disciplines.

The Volunteer Department:  We offer opportunities for students to observe/volunteer in the hospital to assist with career choices.

Rehab Review Series:  A monthly education series that provides education credit for professionals in the community.

Sponsorship:  Se sponsor educational seminars for professional staff for all disciplines.
