Question: How will I get equipment?
Answer: Your therapists will discuss with you in therapy what equipment can help meet your need. Once they make recommendations to your physician, your case manager will order your equipment through an outside equipment company. Your therapists and case manager can discuss insurance/medicare coverage and what your out-of-pocket expenses may be.
Question: When will I get my equipment?
Answer: Equipment is usually delivered to the hospital the day prior to going home, or day of discharge. Occasionally, equipment is delivered to the home.
Question: If I have a question after discharge regarding my equipment (maintenance, billing or return) whom do I contact?
Answer: Your case manager will give you the name and phone number of your equipment company on your discharge sheet.
