Family Involvement
We believe that family involvement is important to a successful rehabilitation program. Family members are given opportunities to learn about brain injury and its effects and are encouraged to take part in family conferences. Most important, families learn when and how to help the individual and how to offer support. The psychology staff also provides counseling sessions for families.
Choosing a Rehabilitation Program
The medical community offers multiple choices for rehabilitation care and it may be difficult to determine which level of care is appropriate. At Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital, we are available to answer your questions. In addition, we strongly encourage and welcome families and referral sources to tour the hospital and meet members of the treatment team. Only by understanding the rehabilitation process can an informed decision be made.
