DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – (March 2006) – The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) announced that Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital has been accredited for a period of one year for its Brain Injury Inpatient Rehabilitation Program.  The accreditation encompasses the following categories: Hospital (Adults); Stroke Specialty Program; and Spinal Cord System of Care (Adults). 

This is the ninth consecutive year the international accrediting commission has recognized Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital.

CARF accreditation is awarded to organizations that, on balance, demonstrate that the persons served are benefiting from the services.  An organization receiving a One-Year Accreditation outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated its commitment to CARF’s accreditation conditions and standards to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit.  Further, an organization accredited for one year demonstrates progress toward conformance to the commission’s standards and it is to be commended in its quest for quality programs and services.

Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital is a for profit organization with offices at 5360 Linton Boulevard, Delray Beach, Fla.  It has been providing rehabilitation services to the residents of the Delray Beach area since 1986.
